EGS406 is a small, compact harvesting unit fully adapted for the stand-alone thinning harvester ROTTNE H8. The unit is ideal for first thinning but can also handle heavier thinning up to approximately 35 centimeters in breast height diameter.
It is conventionally built with a robust frame construction, two feeding rollers, a fixed and two pairs of moving branch knives, and low weight. EGS406 has a short frame, the ability to control upper and lower knives separately and high traction, which together provide excellent driving characteristics in difficult deciduous forests.
Diameter measurement is done through a sensor in the lower branch knives and length measurement over a free measuring wheel.
Color marking, stump treatment, and multi-tree handling are available as additional equipment.
